JOIN TEAM IN THE PINK FOR THE ANNUAL MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER WALK SPONSORED BY THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY. This year the event will be held on Saturday, October 16th at the Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion. Registration begins @ 7:30 am and the 5k (3 mile) walk on the beach begins @ 9:00 am. Sign up on-line @ www.cancer.org/stridesonline and search for the First Coast Beaches. Form your own team (it only takes two people!) or Join Team In the Pink! SEPTEMBER 15th: 6:30 pm @ Jacksonville Beach Golf Course: Bands Against Breast Cancer will host their first community outreach program to train women the correct method of breast self-examination. Free to the community.
SEPTEMBER 22nd: 6:00 pm @ In the Pink. Back by popular demand. Our Breast Cancer 101 Series will begin again! This is Part 1 of the series. Don’t miss this! You can bring your pathology report and discuss the type of breast cancer you have. Just when you thought you knew everything about breast cancer…there is always new information.
